The 9th Memorial Cavalry is available for a number of Color Guard and other duties. Some of these duties include:
- Educational - School visits including lectures, skits, and musket demonstrations.
- Sporting Events - Color Guard, Honor Guard
- Organizational and Community functions - Memorial Day ceremonies, 4th of July and other National and State Holidays
- Fundraising Events - Color Guard, Honor Guard, Demonstrations, Static Exhibits
- Military Functions - Color Guard, Honor Guard, Demonstrations, Static Exhibits
- Dedication Services - Color Guard, Honor Guard
- Parades - Mounted or Foot
