THOMAS SHAW

Born in Covington, Kentucky, in 1846, an engagement between K Company, 9th US Cav, commanded by Charles Parker and 30 hostiles commanded by Nana on August 12, 1881 at Carrizo Canyon, New Mexico. During that 1.5 hour fight Thimas Shaw conducted himself in such a manner that on 7 December 1890 he was awarded the Medal of Honor. (Indian Wars).

He died on June 23, 1895 and was buried in Section 27 of Arlington National Cemetery.
