UNIFORM REGULATIONS:
9th MEMORIAL CAVALRY

Each member of the 9th Memorial Cavalry is expected to possess a full field uniform of the Spanish-American War period, for "normal" use. In addition, members may choose to outfit themselves with Indian Wars period field gear for other, more casual functions or for Indian Wars living history events.

HAT:  1889 campaign hat w/snowflake vent
1895 Army Cap
TUNIC:  1883 or 1887 5 Button Army Blouse
TROUSERS:  1885 Cavalry Trousers, sky blue wool
Tan canvas trousers
SUSPENDERS:  white, no elastic
SHIRT:  1883 Campaign Shirt - blue wool
BELT:  black leather as issued with Forsythe pouch ( cal. .45 )
McKeever cartridge box
Mills belts of various kinds
DUMMY ammunition is the ONLY kind allowed at public events!
